El arte de los niños

The book is a selection of 112 works from approximately four hundred thousand works in the Pinacoteca, in various technique and disciplines by artists from the late 19th and 20th centuries who represent more than 100 years in the field of visual arts. Artists include: Pablo O'Higgins, Ignacio Martínez Tendon, Arturo Marty, Alfredo Ramos Martínez, Angel Zárraga among many others.

Presents essays that analyze the art teachings in Mexico City from the 18th to 20th century, particularly in 4 prestigious institutions: the Academia de San Carlos, the Escuela Nacional Preparatoria (now the Antiguo Colegio de San Ildelfonso), the Escuela Nacional de Bellas Artes and the Secretaría de Educación Pública. The outcome is the present anthological volume.

Number 13 of the series gets together 2 thesis submitted for the degree of the Masters in History and Theory of Art and Architecture, focused on the relationship between the political discourse and how Columbian art was critically interpreted in different epochs. Lleras examines the state involvement in art through the works of Carlos Correa and Pedro Nel Gómez amongst others while Jaramillo documents the plastic language used by Marco Ospina, Enrique Grau, and Alejandro Obregón amongst others who incorporated European avant-garde elements to become pioneer artists of modernism in Colombia.
