El presente volumen compila una decena de trabajos que fueron presentados como ponencias en varias mesas temáticas que coordinamos en el marco de las Jornadas Interescuelas-Departamentos de Historia entre los años 2005 y 2015. A detailed study on the architecture and the life of British engineer and architect Reed who left an extraordinary legacy of neoclassic architecture in Colombia and in other regions of Latin America. Reed designed and constructed the Capitolio Nacional and the Museo Nacional in Colombia along other public buildings, theaters as well as other constructions in Ecuador and Venezuela between 1843 and 1878.
