Resumen del Libro

La Dra. Herrero, especialista en sociolingüística árabe y, más concretamente, en árabe marroquí, es autora de numerosos artículos y une a su experiencia docente en universidades como la Autónoma de Madrid, la Universidad de Cádiz o la Universidad de Almería, a la que pertenece en la actualidad, el haber pronunciado conferencias así como realizado estancias de investigación en otras universidades ( Georgetown University en Washington D.C., Universidad Central de Las Villas, Cuba ). La autora propone un marco teórico integrado para el análisis de las lenguas orales. Este marco teórico se estructura en las siguientes partes: el análisis del sistema lingüístico, el estudio de los distintos sociolectos y de las principales estrategias pragmáticas, para finalizar con el estudio de las asimetrías interculturales en lo que a hábitos comunicativos se refiere.
