La ocupación de Lima (1881-1883)

Se reúne las ponencias presentadas en este encuentro realizado en la PUCP, agosto del 2003. Los artículos esbozan una aproximación a una historia comparada entre Perú y México, países cuyos territorios albergaron a dos de las más altas culturas de la antigüedad americana y que fueron sede de los virreinatos fundados en el Nuevo Mundo durante el s. XVI.

Este libro reune material del folclor de los onas, grupo etnico principal de la region de Tierra del Fuego; a lo largo de los anos, Tangol fue "investigando, reconstituyendo, comparando y finalmente atesorando las escasas informaciones que existen sobre el pueblo Ona." Mas que un libro cientifico, esta obra es la expresion literaria de una mitologia original.

The exhibition is centered in the period when Chile was part of the Tawantinsuyu territory, the largest Pre-Columbian empire of the Americas, covering more than 12000 miles from the south of Colombia to central Chile. During the 15th century emperor Topa Inka Yupanqui conquered the territory that is now Chile and until the arrival of the Spanish conquerors, the territories of northern and central Chile were governed by Inca emperors and leaving behind and important language legacy.
