Este libro es un álbum de recuerdos que José Montelongo escribió para capturar la historia de su abuelo, Jesús Galindo, quien fuera comandante del Servicio Secreto mexicano durante los años treinta y cuarenta. A manera de crónica -aunque en un momento de la narración el autor se aparta de los hechos y escribe ficción-, observamos fotos viejas muy interesantes, todas relacionadas con la vida de Jesús Galindo y entrelazadas con datos personales, políticos y familiares.
