¿Cómo llamar al siglo XX? El siglo de las guerras mundiales, de la descolonización, de la decadencia de Europa como centro del mundo, el siglo de la conquista del espacio, de la globalización, de las potencias emergentes, el siglo de la explosión demográfica, de la electrónica y la informática, de la revolución genética... Pero no nos convence ninguno de esos nombres, pues no logran definirlo plenamente.
