José Lorenzo Fuentes (Santa Clara, Cuba, 1928). Durante la lucha contra Batista, fue corresponsal de guerra del Segundo Frente del Escambray y acompañó al comandante Che Guevara en la batalla de Santa Clara. Tras el triunfo revolucionario, acompañó a Fidel Castro en las tareas iniciales del Instituto Nacional de Reforma Agraria y fue fundador y subdirector de la revista NRA.
