Este libro centra su atenci n en los trabajadores en las calles, en particular los m s pobres, quienes buscaban su subsistencia en estos espacios abiertos. Su objetivo es analizar los cambios en las formas de trabajo y las pr cticas sociales de esta poblaci n durante las primeras d cadas del siglo XX, a os de modernizaci n de la ciudad y de inestabilidades pol ticas.
