Este libro reúne una parte del epistolario de Domingo Santa María González (1824-1889). Una figura política trascendental del siglo XIX chileno. El volumen ofrece las epístolas conservadas en el Archivo Nacional, en el Fondo Santa María, y corresponde al período que va entre 1846 y 1860.
